WHERE FLOWERS MEET ART

WHERE FLOWERS MEET ART

A warm welcome to the first website visitors and also to the first post in The Journal. I’m excited to be writing to both followers and soon-to-be subscribers.

The year has begun amidst excitement as I look ahead to my first season of creativity in the studio where I will be hand-painting canvas backdrops for floral designers and photographers, along with botanical artworks for your home. I will be sharing my work, conveying how the power of a subtle and unique background can elevate a floral arrangement or photographer’s project.

I’m based in Shropshire where for the last 3 years I have run a flower farm @severnvalleyflowers, where growing and cutting flowers has led to floristry and floral design, which has, in turn, led to photography, and now to the backgrounds flowers are photographed with.

I’ve created my perfect loop, where the flowers meet the art. I will be provding you with much more infomation on this, in the coming weeks.

For years I have observed and admired the work of talented creatives, painters, artists and floral designers around the world - I’m now ready to share my own take on backgrounds for flowers, inspired by British seasons. From my studio, with some commissioned work behind me, I will be offering fellow florists and designers the opportunity to have their own unique botanical artwork to elevate their own work - take a look at my shop.

I’ll be shipping orders across the UK (overseas deliveries will follow soon) and there is much intent for the year! Collaborations, connections, a journey into retail and I look forward to being part of others’ work too.

People have always been so generous in liking, sharing and following so I hope you can fit another account in and join me as I get started.

Always inspired

Sarah
